Why have we decided to set up this service?
The Whistleblower Disclosure Service has been set up to ensure our organisation remains a safe and secure environment, free from professional misconduct including fraud, theft and other unethical behaviour.
We all have a role to play in eliminating activities which negatively impact our organisation whilst still respecting our fellow workers and the teams we are working with.
Why do we need this type of service?
Fraud, theft and other unethical activities are unacceptable and should be eliminated in any organisation. Until now, if a worker of the Diocese knew of or witnessed an incident or behaviour that they knew was wrong, there was no confidential or anonymous way to report it.
Similar services have proven records in uncovering vital information relating to professional misconduct and fraud, in particular.
Why do we need a Whistleblower Disclosure Service - doesn't the Diocese trust us?
The Diocese should always be an ethical and safe place at which to work. The Whistleblower Disclosure Service has been set up to ensure our workplace remains this way. It is confidential and anonymous and operated by a company that is independent from the Diocese and specialises in providing this kind of service.

How can I be sure the Whistleblower Disclosure Service is confidential?
The Whistleblower Disclosure Service is a confidential and anonymous service. It is operated by an independent company who specialises in providing confidential business conduct services to their clients. When using the service, your identity will never be known to the Diocese unless you authorise it.

If you choose to give your identity and contact information, you can elect to be contacted by the Diocese, the Disclosure Service or a third party to assist with an investigation or receive a notification on the conclusion of any investigation.
